Creative Project Managers are the lifeline of our creative teams. Well organized and flexible, they have the ability to work with all levels of management (client and internal), vendors, and possess strong project management ability. The Creative Project Manager plays a pivotal role in keeping projects moving internally and managing the stakeholder’s expectations. They will engage with the stakeholder to gather information and understand the overall direction of the campaign and creative request. Proactively work to move the Creative team members toward completion of project deliverables and supports the team in various administrative activities by building project schedules, forecasting hours for projects, coordinating with different teams to ensure that projects start and finish on time, that all stakeholders have reviewed and approved in a timely manner, and enforce process during projects. They will help create efficiency by monitoring utilization, identifying opportunities to move projects to lower cost resources, as well as stakeholder approvals.

Your Day:

  • Contribute to the development of creative and its proactive strategies to communicate SHRM’s role as the expert on all things work

  • Support all daily project work activities, operate as the primary conduit between the Creative team, other designated support teams, and organization-wide stakeholders

  • Accountability for communicating internal plans and methodologies

  • Run internal creative project review meetings and responsible for daily communication with key stakeholders of those projects

  • Attention to project details ensuring timeliness and quality of creative deliverables

  • Assist in managing the Creative process, forecasting work ebbs and flows, resources and the rework of all project materials

  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing Creative process

  • Prioritize and manage multiple project timelines simultaneously

  • Produce timely and accurate project reports for internal reference

  • Proactive in evaluating, recommending, and implementing opportunities to improve internal tools and processes

  • Flexible in supporting the Creative team on a wide variety of administrative duties

  • Grow and maintain strong stakeholder relationships at the administrative level

  • Coordinating and scheduling of creative team and cross-functional project meetings; detailed note taking and distribution; identify and address project hurdles and action-items

  • Seek solutions and problem solving of project roadblocks; mitigate risk and apply those learnings to future projects

  • Ownership of project management software

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Forecasting workloads.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field; or equivalent relevant work experience

  • At least five (5) years’ experience in managing programs preferably for audience engagement

  • Expert in Microsoft Office suite

  • Project management experience is required

  • Preferred project management software and tools (Jira, Trello, Microsoft project etc.)

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.

  • Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Work Environment

  • Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.

  • Travel Required: Occasional 0-10%
