SUMMARY

SHRM’s paid internship program enables students to participate in valuable real-world work experience through a variety of tailored assignments within their areas of interest and fields of study. Students will be tasked with different team-specific projectsand participate in professional development projects and events to prepare them for their future careers.The  Enterprise Solutions Operations  Intern will assist in developing and delivering events and experiences for enterprise solutions clients. Enterprise Solutions provides SHRM products to businesses and partners,witha focus on Fortune 1000 partners. The intern will be uniquely involved in building capacity on the Enterprise Solutions clientexperienceteam. This team evaluates products,plans events, and executives onclient engagement strategy. This is a fantastic role for someone who is seeking a wide breadth of experience and enjoys organizing and executing client-facing needs. This is a paid internship at a starting rate of$20.00/Hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Bring fresh ideas and strong implementation capability to client engagement strategy, collateral, and events

  • Assist in event preparation by coordinating dates, appointments, details, speakers, and logistics

  • Assist with client research projects

  • Assist with day-of event coordination of client-facing engagements

  • Collaborates with Marketing and Brand to prepare and manage collateral inventory and distribution for events

  • Create and review presentation decks for client meetings

  • Carry out division-specific tasks/activities as assigned by the supervisor throughout the duration of the internship

  • Manage deliverables and provide regular updates to the manager and team

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Preferred field of studies: pursuing a Bachelor's of Business,HR, I/O Psychology, International business, Sales & Marketing,Hospitality Management,or other related fields

  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Expert organization skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects with competing priority.

  • Strong communication and analytical skills

  • Excitement and competency with team projects

  • Professional demeanor 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.

  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.

  • Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Work environment

  • SHRM does operate under a hybrid work schedule and will require you to be in SHRM’s headquarters in Alexandria, VA on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Mondays and Fridays will be working remotely.

  • Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.
