Summary
SHRM applies an audience-centric model to its operations. As a crucial team supporting go-to-market activities for all audience segments, the Omnichannel Organization & Outreach team handles all visual projects and digital storytelling to ensure SHRM is audience-first in its production and channel distribution.
This key role will be responsible for managing creative and digital strategy including prioritizing deliverables, handling project timelines, and working cross-functionally to ensure digital projects are delivered in a timely fashion and within budget. In addition, this role will manage SHRM’s social media strategy, best utilizing channels to drive ROI and plans to support business needs in an audience-centric capacity.
This position requires an intense understanding of audience insights and behaviors, visual communication and digital marketing. We are looking for a dynamic, top contributor to join our team!
Responsibilities
Oversee activities of SHRM’s creative services, which includes in-house digital and publication designers as well as an agency of record. Plan and manage workflows and budgets related to these activities.
Ensure all online and print design, creative and production work meet standards for quality, budget, and deadline, and project an image reflective of SHRM’s guiding principles, membership, business requirements and brand guidelines.
Work closely with business unit owners to create positive user experiences that will support member and customer usage, acquisition and retention.
Day-to-day budget management.
Lead a team of marketers who together drive business value, revenue growth and customer lifetime value.
Effectively structure creative services and social media teams, and supervise their tasks, output and professional development, ensuring they possess the design tools, workflows and skills needed to be high performing.
Obtain and oversee the services of agencies, freelancers and other vendors as needed.
Measure, analyze, and translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required with 8+ years concentration on visual communication, digital marketing and social media. 3+ years of experience managing people.
Ability to brainstorm a range of visual and graphical concepts, whether in support of content, strategy or hierarchy, and help steer stakeholder consensus around those ideas.
Adept at managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, and balance deadlines and details with big-picture thinking.
Strong leadership and consensus building ability.
Must be a self-starter, highly organized, intellectually curious and able to work well with data to support rationale for activities.
Ability to meet deadlines and work within budgetary limits.
Proven ability to collaborate across division to implement processes and achieve results. Track record of building and maintaining productive relationships with multiple stakeholders, including working closely with department heads.
End-to-end, multi-touch campaign development that includes but not limited to strategy, targeting and segmentation, execution, and measurement.
High level of responsiveness and ability to adapt to change.
Strong problem-solving and executive presentation skills.
Appetite to innovate, fail-fast, and be smart and curious.
Lead with bold purpose while collaborating fiercely with a high degree of accountability.
Exceptional writer, with a deep understanding of content marketing tailored for different audience segments.
Oversight of digital advertising, SEO/SEM, and/or social media efforts.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.
Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Work environment
Work is regularly performed in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Expective travel is 0-10% of the time.

The hiring range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000 per year. This range is an estimate and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
