SHRM Manager, Product Marketing in Alexandria, Virginia
With core focus on promotion of information, products and services that drive member involvement and increase lifetime value, the Product Marketing Manager will create and oversee the marketing strategy for all SHRM Conferences, Education Programs, Credentials and SHRM Store products. This includes the development and management of the strategic marketing plans; management of the marketing budgets; implementation and analysis of each marketing campaign; management of day-to-day tactical functions of marketing and other related programs, including a team of marketing Specialists, that support the goals and objectives of SHRM. The manager will design, implement, and manage marketing plans across numerous product lines, including SHRM Conferences, Education Programs, Credentials and SHRM Store.
Support multiple internal clients developing creative assets and driving quantifiable results.
Lead and manage direct reports, Specialists and Senior Specialists.
Achieve budget and marketing objectives.
Develop creative appropriate by medium, in coordination with the SHRM event experience team, with clear objectives and measurement criteria.
Set strategic direction for campaigns, including segmentation philosophy, budget constraints, total campaign effectiveness, and Google Analytics results.
Meet regularly with client leadership and department supported staff to check-in on revenue status, new changes to products and customer insight.
Oversee the execution of multiple, layered, direct mail, e-mail and advertising promotions with direct reports; including creative design, copywriting, editing, full print production and mailing initiatives with printer/mail house.
Oversee and implement the content updates of product webpages and ecommerce pages. Provide insights on updates or upgrades that may impact the product or program.
Coordinate points of cross promotion and manage relationships between membership and product marketing campaigns.
Manage relationships with third party vendors providing support for graphic design, printing, mail house services, mail list brokers, etc. This includes contract management, administrative management, relationship management and project oversight.
Provide marketing updates on a monthly or as needed basis to department clients.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a relevant field.
5-7 years in a professional marketing position including experience in event marketing, lead generation, collateral development, direct mail, database segmentation, website analytics, customer relationship management systems, copywriting, proofreading and editing, e-mail marketing, Google Analytics, and SEO/SEM marketing.
Experience with marketing automation or email platforms highly desirable.
Ability to multi-task, work in fast-paced environment, be deadline-oriented, and be nimble to act and react quickly.
Strong analytical, judgment, & decision-making skills.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team and develop relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Proven project management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills.
Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
Familiarity with Social Media platforms.
Knowledge of CRM tools.
Experience with Google Analytics and/or email reporting.
Regularly required to sit; talk and hear, use hands to type, file, handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
