The Manager, Talent Acquisition leads and manages organization-wide efforts to ensure that talent pipeline and succession, talent acquisition, performance management, and mobility programs are developed and managed using a data-driven focus that sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic imperatives. This position is responsible for utilizing creative and innovative sourcing techniques to hire for all corporate disciplines in support of SHRM’s World Class Workforce/Work Environment as prescribed by its Business Operating Plan.
Responsible for designing an effective process and delivering consistently outstanding results in all aspects of SHRM’s talent pipeline, talent acquisition, performance management, and mobility programs.
Work closely with Diversity and Inclusion initiatives to ensure that SHRM is fostering a world-class diversity talent acquisition model.
Utilize professional expertise to design and implement the delivery of exceptional results from the talent review process that is required to achieve operating goals in the creation of an internal bench of top talent supporting a world-class workforce.
Partner successfully with other HR team members to achieve goals and deliver on accountabilities, driving consistency across business units, functional areas, etc.
Continuously enhance the programs, systems, processes, policies, and tools related to talent management, performance management, and mobility.
Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in industry benchmarking practices through industry interaction and building external networks.
Assure that organization-wide performance management initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.
Develop, initiate, and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion, and succession planning.
Manage the maintenance and execution of the Performance Management System, including current job descriptions, standards of performance, and performance evaluation instruments.
Serve as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies that result in client satisfaction.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or related field
At least eight (8) years of broad HR experience with designing, developing, and supporting organization-wide talent management programs and processes covering performance management, talent development, coaching, mentoring, succession planning processes and tools, data analytics and relationship management.
Recent successful experience in recruiting all discipline areas.
Previous experience in capturing metrics and producing various employment reports.
Experience in all areas of sourcing such as the internet, social media, networking, employee referrals, job postings; as well as conducting open houses and job fairs.
Experience in working with applicant tracking systems and affirmative action plan requirements.
Experience developing a high-performance work team.
Demonstrated use of social media tools in advertising and branding opportunities for an organization.
Knowledge of employment law and regulations especially as they pertain to hiring and performance management.
Knowledge of performance management and measurement concepts and techniques.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Demonstrate a high sense of urgency in filling vacancies. Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to switch gears and focus quickly.
Excellent time management/project management skills.
Strong relationship management skills; ability to provide consultative advice to business leaders, and to interact with senior leaders.
Ability to capture metrics and producing various employment reports.
Knowledge of industry benchmarking practices through industry interaction and building external networks.
Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision.
Ability to plan projects, develop milestones and meet specific deadlines.

Master’s degree preferred
3 years of progressive experience in the management and deployment of diversity and inclusion initiatives for a global organization and/or association
- SHRM CP/SCP. If not currently certified, must obtain within first year of employment
Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.
Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.
