SUMMARY

The Sr Director, Enterprise Sales Team is focused on growing the business of SHRM through business relationships with current and potential Fortune 2000, partners (i.e., key business leaders and HR executives in multinational corporations and large national companies). This role sets the strategy for the sales to Enterprise market segments in collaboration with Marketing and Membership leaders.

Responsibilities:

· Directs and oversees SHRM’s sales, objectives, and initiatives as well as all the responsibilities of the sales team

· Sets short-and long-term sales strategies and evaluates effectiveness of current sales programs

· Gains a thorough understanding of SHRM’s organization and product/service offerings.

· Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.

· Lead business development opportunities and engage with CHRO’s and business Leaders to create leads for the sales team.

· Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes

· Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or High School diploma with extended relevant experience required

  • 10+ years of professional experience in business development, client relationship management, and account development.

  • Experience driving sales of HR-related programs or services (or equivalent products/services) at the executive level using consultative sales techniques.

  • Successful past performance in business development (developing customer relationships, account strategies, developing a qualified pipeline, and capturing large scale deals).

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.

  • Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Work environment

Work is regularly performed in a combination of home office and conference settings, and routinely uses standard office equipment. It may require the maintenance of home office and proximity to an airport for work related travel.

The hiring range for this position is $140,000 to $193,000 per year. This range is an estimate and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
