The Senior Salesforce Developer position contributes in creating and maintaining applications, as well as research, evaluation and recommendation for new solutions in support of SHRM’s business objectives. This position collaborates in the development of solutions for one of SHRM’s primary business platform – Salesforce.com.
Review, analyze and evaluate business systems and processes based on business needs.
Reinforce software application build, test, and deploy activities to meet business requirements and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
Collaborates with project team to define, develop, build and test custom features.
Ensures application and its modifications are well documented and documentation is kept up to date.
Assists with the development of data migration strategies; completes data manipulation, cleaning and importing
Executes production rollout strategy and support for users.
Communicates with project team to provide development progress, interfaces with senior management across the organization.
Bachelor’s degree in technical field (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.) or equivalent relevant experience
At least five (5) years’ experience in software development and/or testing
At least two (2) years' Salesforce.com experience
Experience writing requirements
Experience with SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle)
Experience integrating different systems via APIs
Experience with ERPs (Enterprise Resource Planning platforms), such as NetSuite preferred
Experience with Agile/Scrum and BDD (Behavior Driven Development) preferred
Strong Apex experience
Aura Component, Lightning Web Component or Visualforce experience
Experience with a relational database management system (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Experience using source control systems, such as Git.
Strong communication skills
Let Us Know If You Have:
Understanding of web services (REST/SOAP) and how to use them to develop integrations.
Experience with at least one middleware platform, such as Jitterbit, Dell Boomi, MuleSoft
Experience with general project management a plus
- Salesforce Certification preferred
Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.
Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Light lighting is required. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force to constantly move objects.
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Travel Required: Occasional 0-10%
