The Sr. Specialist, Financial Systems position is responsible for the financial administration and operation of multiple financial system applications used within Accounting Operations Division, in coordination with the Manager, Financial Systems. This position will provide functional and technical support on application configuration operation, and maintenance to ensure applications function properly to meet the needs of organization.

Your Day:

  • Create and maintain system generated monthly financial statements and accompanying schedules, including budget vs. actual variance reports.

  • Oversight and primary contact related to all financial, administration, and support software systems – Concur, DocuPeak, Bank Lockboxes, and Bank Wires

  • Maintaining electronic lockboxes and Identify unidentified funds.

  • Develop system reports required for financial analysis and journal entries/reconciliations.

  • Support the monthly and yearly accounting close process with analysis and research of financial transactions and preparation of month end journal entries.

  • Manage data integration between Concur and NetSuite systems through Concur Connector for NetSuite. Ensure integration of financial data is maintained and reconciled.

  • Assist with functional design, maintenance, and implementation of NetSuite third party integrations.

  • Maintain proper system access for all users and roles in DocuPeak and Concur.

  • Troubleshoot and support organization staff with system applications

  • Perform functional configurations and enhancements, system maintenance, business process testing, and recommend configurations improving and maximizing the use of the system.

  • Create and develop training for staff in various departments.

  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for application processes.

  • Manage and resolve JIRA service tickets as assigned.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.

  • At least 5 years of accounting experience.

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepting Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel. Highly organized.

  • Experience and knowledge of NetSuite, Concur, Celigo, DocuPeak, SalesForce. NetSuite SuitePOS is preferred.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize work within a fast-paced environment and with strict deadlines.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Ability to work independently or as a team member on projects of varying size and scope.

  • Good problem-solving skills.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong knowledge of A/R functions in NetSuite is preferred.

  • Project management skills. Experience documenting business processes.

  • Team player able to effectively interact with colleagues and business partners across the organization

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.

  • Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Work Environment

  • Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.

  • Travel Required: Occasional 0-10%
