The Senior Specialist, Multimedia Production will act as a Creative Service team’s subject matter expert and liaison to the organization, guiding direction, strategy, and execution of multimedia projects to elevate member engagement and experience in key business areas. You are responsible for maintaining the high-level production value our internal clients demand and have come to expect. You are an ideas machine and bring an elevated aesthetic to everything you do. You will collaborate with a team of designers, animators, and digital developers to create a shared vision for a story reality. Technology will never be a barrier for creating your vision, the visions of stakeholders, and Creative team members. You will support the Manager, Multimedia Producer in maintaining creative process and management/execution of multimedia design projects. You will also support the Manager, Multimedia Production in fulfilling the overall vision of this business area of Creative Services, ensuring SHRM’s expectation for flawless execution in multimedia production maintains a clear strategic focus that is consistently realized.

Your Day:

  • Work with key stakeholders organizationally to execute traditional multimedia and digital projects to maintain a long-term strategy enhancing SHRM’s multimedia offerings.

  • Collaborate with an in-house creative team of managers, designers, editors, graphic artists, and digital developers, to concept, plan, and execute daily projects.

  • Maintain departmental workflow processes and work with Creative Service team members to ensure adherence to multimedia procedures.

  • Maintain review processes and partner with internal project management and stakeholder changes with a spirit of collaboration and professionalism.

  • Provide guidance and/or training for other team members as needed.

  • Work with Creative Services team members and/or project managers to determine multimedia project needs, creative concepts, proposals, and production schedules.

  • Based on approved creative treatments, write scripts and/or prepare storyboards describing concept, graphics, music, SFX, narration, and dialogue.

  • Perform and/or supervise production and post-production to adhere to brand standards and to meet content- and time-constraints

  • Show impeccable attention to detail and unparalleled organizational skills.

  • Supervise third-party vendors as needed.

Must Haves

  • No degree is required if work experience and portfolio adequately demonstrates the candidate’s ability to perform job functions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing or a related field is preferred.

  • 5+ years of progressive multimedia and digital production execution experience in an agency or similar environment.

  • Demonstrated experience executing multimedia projects of all sizes from concept to completion.

  • Experience with studio set-up and video branding efforts.

  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Experience using a range of digital content management systems and distribution platforms.

  • Deep familiarity with creative industry trends and technologies.

  • Creative, design-thinker with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Entrepreneurial and self-motivated

  • Enthusiasm for workplace issues and for the SHRM member and mission

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects at once and deftly communicating and escalating issues as needed

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of project management software/tools

  • Ability to set and maintain production budgets

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.

  • Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing and typing. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Work Environment

  • Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.

  • Travel Required: Occasional 0-10%
