The Recertification Specialist is responsible for executing deliverables to support Certificant recertification cycles and the Preferred Provider stakeholder community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting Preferred Providers from chapters, colleges/universities, military, business-to-business and general preferred provider groups as identified by the organization and who present high potential growth opportunity for the SHRM certification program. This position works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of certification and recertification goals and objectives, and to expand our market share and the Preferred Provider Program(s).
· Serves as primary point of contact for recertification services provided to individual certificants. Serves as a point of contact and aids stakeholders internally and externally to support the organization’s recertification-related initiatives.
· Supports growth of SHRM’s Preferred Provider programs, including activities designed to build and maintain strong relationships with existing subscribers to retain them, and outreach efforts to identify and recruit new prospects.
Build and maintain relationships and partnerships with key and potential contacts within organizations such as volunteer leaders, Education Partners, and non SHRM provider organizations to build and retain alliances and provide guidance and direction on ways to expand the recertification provider program.
Plans and executes special initiatives such as reinstating expired credentials for targeted populations to reactivate a certification, creating an Onboarding Kit to familiarize new certificants with recertification processes, creating tools and new programs to support the needs of both the recertification and Preferred Provider communities as they emerge, and periodically review websites for both programs to suggest and implement updated, changed or new information as it occurs.
Supports policy procedure development and upkeeps and conducts verification reviews of Preferred Provider programs to ensure policy and procedure adherence.
Conducts data integrity, data cleanup projects and systems specifications documentation to prepare for migration of the Preferred Provider Program and Recertification from Cobalt to NetSuite.
Supports periodic administrative and financial reporting tasks.
Periodically speaks on behalf of SHRM to raise awareness of recertification, promotes the Preferred Provider program and its benefits and contribute to SHRM's articles and newsletters to promote both programs and communicate benefits to stakeholders.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3 years of professional experience working with professional associations or in a community outreach/engagement function.
Experience working with association-based certifications or within a credentialing/testing environment helpful.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good presentation skills with the ability to present information clearly to stakeholders.
Strong collaboration skills; ability to flexibly and agilely solve problems.
Project management skills a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Cobalt; familiarity with NetSuite.
- Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.
Work is regularly performed in a combination of office, home office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.
