SUMMARY

The Lead, Talent and Employee Experience, designs, implements, and optimizes strategies for talent development and organizational effectiveness to elevate employee skills and drive organizational growth. Partnering with business leaders, this position is instrumental in fostering growth, enhancing the employee experience, and ensuring organizational excellence. As a trusted advisor and mentor, the Lead fosters a resilient, high-performing culture aligned with SHRM’s Guiding Principles and organizational strategies. Responsibilities may shift to address priorities, requiring adaptability and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

Talent and Leadership Development:

  • Deliver high-impact leadership development programs aligned with strategic goals.

  • Identify talent gaps and implement strategies to close them.

  • Manage succession planning and leadership assessments.

Organizational Development:

  • Collaborate with leaders to create talent programs that promote career growth, retention, and organizational effectiveness.

  • Design and deliver learning solutions, including coaching, IDPs, online training, and leadership programs.

  • Use data analysis to inform leadership development initiatives and improve organizational performance.

  • Oversee employee lifecycle surveys and implement action-oriented initiatives.

Professional Development:

  • Coach managers to build a culture of learning and growth.

  • Champion career development programs and succession planning.

  • Evaluate development outcomes and refine strategies for effectiveness.

Performance Management:

  • Lead the performance management cycle, aligning it with organizational goals.

  • Analyze performance data to guide coaching, rewards, and recognition.

  • Provide training and resources to enhance performance management processes.

  • Promote continuous feedback and optimize performance frameworks.

Employee Relations:

  • Advise on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and investigations.

  • Ensure alignment with policies and legal standards while fostering workplace harmony.

Change Management:

  • Drive enterprise-wide initiatives like mergers, HR transformation, and change management.

  • Develop creative solutions to address complex challenges.

Organizational Effectiveness (OE):

  • Assess and improve team performance and productivity.

  • Implement OE strategies focusing on metrics, workforce planning, and collaboration.

  • Measure and report on OE initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

Organizational Design (OD):

  • Lead efforts to optimize organizational structures, roles, and workflows.

  • Conduct assessments to recommend efficiency-focused adjustments.

  • Collaborate on job design and team configurations.

Flexible Leadership Focus:

  • Assume leadership in key areas, including organizational development, employee engagement, talent management, or performance improvement, depending on evolving business priorities.

  • Adapt responsibilities to align with strategic needs, ensuring maximum organizational impact.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Design, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in HR with emphasis in one or more of the following areas: OE, OD, ER, and Change Management.

  • Skilled in leveraging talent data for decision-making.

  • Strong track record of influencing senior leaders and stakeholders.

  • Experience delivering learning solutions and managing HR systems.

  • Proven experience leveraging and incorporating technology and AI into HR/organizational solutions.

  • Experience handling employee issues from simple to more complex.

  • Knowledge of employment law and regulations.

Preferred:

  • Proven success in implementing OE and OD programs.

  • Expertise in performance management, talent development, and succession planning.

Certifications:

  • SHRM-CP or SCP certification or ability to obtain within one year.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Technology savvy with a desire to enhance current HR practices and strategies with technological solutions.

  • Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.

  • Strong relationship management skills; ability to provide consultative advice and interact with employees at all levels.

  • Knowledge of employment law and regulations.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with tact and professionalism.

  • Ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Work environment :

  • Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.

  • Expected travel is 0-10%.

The hiring range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000 per year. This range is an estimate and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
