The Specialist, Content Operations plays a vital role in supporting the Content Team’s operational efficiency and publication processes. This position is designed for a detail-oriented individual who excels at managing digital content workflows and ensuring seamless integration of content across SHRM’s platforms. This role involves collaboration across various SHRM departments to optimize content organization for discoverability in addition to tracking performance metrics to refine content strategy. Reporting to the Manager, Content Operations and Publishing, the specialist will play a pivotal role in our mission to shape the future of HR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Production

  • Build and manage key content databases using the project management platform Monday.com.

  • Collaborate with relevant SHRM departments, such asSocial Media, Marketing, Communications, Brand, and others, to ensure timely visibility and distribution of content.

  • Maintain and update the SHRM Style Guide and its integration into various technologies.

  • Assist in the coordination of scheduling podcast guests and expert source interviews.

  • Assist in supporting logistics between the ad sales and content teams.

  • Write and edit content for B2B and B2C content teams as appropriate.

  • Coordinate and execute the publishing and updating of articles, blog posts, and other digital content using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).

  • Monitor and manage content categorization, tagging, and metadata to ensure proper organization and discoverability of content

  • Work with internal stakeholders to refine and optimize the content taxonomy for improved user experience

  • Ensure that published content adheres to SEO and internal taxonomy guidelines

  • Analytics

  • Track and report on content performance metrics using web analytics tools such as Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA)

  • Provide regular reports on content engagement, traffic and other KPIs to help guide content strategy

  • Identify gaps or areas for improvement based on content performance data and recommend actions to improve content visibility

Key Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements (KSAOs)

  • Knowledge :

  • Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field and/or two to three years of relevant experience in a Communications, Content, Marketing or Project Management role.

  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Familiar with digital media tools and content management systems (Experience with Adobe Experience Manager a plus).

  • Strong writing and editing skills, able to produce clear and engaging content.

  • Excellent project management skills (Experience with Monday.com a plus)

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Able to analyze internal traffic data and produce presentation slides and other reports for stakeholders.

  • Organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.

The hiring range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
